Técnicas Reunidas reaffirms its commitment to the protection of nature and biodiversity

In the International Day for the Protection of Nature framework, Técnicas Reunidas wants to highlight its firm commitment to biodiversity and the natural environment. The company, renowned for its engineering leadership, has demonstrated its dedication to protecting the environment over the years.

The corporate policies of Técnicas Reunidas support the company’s interest in protecting nature, according to the Técnicas Reunidas Sustainability Policy, one of whose fundamental pillars is “preserving the biodiversity of ecosystems, landscapes, and species in the territories in which the Group operates”. This commitment underlines the company’s importance given to nature conservation and the promotion of sustainable practices in all its operations.

In addition, the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Policy of Técnicas Reunidas highlights the Company’s responsibility for environmental protection, affirming its purpose of “protecting the environment, through the minimization of risks and the adoption of socially responsible behavior in all Técnicas Reunidas activities”. This comprehensive approach ensures that each project not only complies with applicable environmental regulations but also with safety and efficiency standards, as well as encouraging positive environmental impacts and compensating for negative impacts during execution.

The European Union has established a framework of activities focused on six key objectives: the mitigation of climate change, adaptation to climate change, the sustainable use and protection of water and marine resources, the protection and restoration of biodiversity and ecosystems, the prevention and control of pollution, and the transition to a circular economy. Técnicas Reunidas aligns with these objectives, integrating them into its policies and good practices to effectively contribute to global sustainability, specifically in the territories in which the Group operates.

On this International Day for the Protection of Nature, Técnicas Reunidas reaffirms its continuous commitment to the protection of the environment and biodiversity, as highlighted by two of the Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 14 (“Underwater Life”) and SDG 15 (“Terrestrial Ecosystem Life”).
