Clean fuels are key for achieving SDG

Access to clean energy is key for the developing countries´ progress.

Currently, a large part of human population consumes transportation fuels with low quality specifications. Clean fuels that meet the highest specifications (Euro V/Euro VI), not only allow the accomplishment of the 7th sustainable development goal of the United Nations but also the 3rd one, contribution to good health and well-being. On the other hand, we must highlight that biofuels production is an increasing activity where organic waste is converted into clean fuels.

Complex refineries optimize the use of natural resources

Complex refining processes use less amount of crude oil for producing the same quantity of clean transport fuels.

High conversion processes transform the residue of crude and vacuum distillation units into intermediate streams that are finally converted into high specifications fuels. This optimization of the refining process allows the reduction of the unitary carbon footprint of a litre of clean gasoline, diesel or kerosene.

A requirement for success

Refining and petrochemical processes integration has become an unstoppable trend in the oil and gas industry. These complexes significantly reduce the energy needs to produce clean fuels and petrochemical products.

At the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) stage, we provide thorough studies of the engineering processes, applying value engineering to minimize capital and investments and optimize expenses and carbon emissions during the operation stage. A screening of financial investors and lenders is provided in addition to the FEED with the aim to reach the bankability stage. We have a strong track record in financing infrastructures with Export Credit Agencies. Project management through EPC services is our core expertise as we have demonstrated capabilities of timely delivering complex facilities with excellent quality standards.

At TR we assess the current detailed emissions of a specific facility, we identify the applicability of footprint reduction technologies, we also evaluate the project´s commercial and technological maturity as well as the cost calculation for carbon abatement and target paths for oil and gas infrastructure decarbonization.
