MITECO and AENOR recognize Técnicas Reunidas for its work to reduce its carbon footprint

The Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has recently awarded Técnicas Reunidas the “Calculo” seal, which recognizes the company’s efforts to reduce its emissions.

Técnicas Reunidas has been recognized by both AENOR and MITECO for its environmental practices, which is another step towards the Company’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2040.

It should be noted that in order to obtain the “Calculo” seal, all registered footprints must be accompanied by a rigorous reduction plan, where the Calculation has been previously verified. In this way, TR reaffirms its environmental commitment, which is materialized in multiple actions. In order to obtain this recognition, we have carried out an analysis of our emissions, using standardized and transparent methodologies.

As a result of obtaining this seal, AENOR has certified the company in accordance with the GHG Protocol requirements, a standard for calculating the carbon footprint of an organization, which allows us to account for the six types of greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFC, PFC and SF6), focusing solely on accounting and reporting emissions.

These certificates are a sign of our commitment to sustainability and represent a significant step forward for the company on our path to reducing our carbon footprint.
