The cracking unit, which is the main process unit of any petrochemical complex, will be installed at the one the consortium led by KazMunayGas is developing in Atirau province.installed at the one being developed by the KazMunayGas-led consortium in the province of Atirau, located in the western part of the country on the Caspian Sea coast. The unit will use gas from Kazakhstan’s gas fields to produce petrochemicals. It will contribute to the production of an estimated 1,300 kilotonnes (ktonnes) of ethylene (kta).
