Técnicas Reunidas advances towards Net Zero in 2040

On World Climate Change Day, Técnicas Reunidas reiterates its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and combating climate change, highlighting its goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2040. This commitment is part of a global sustainability and decarbonization strategy, with objectives validated by SBTi and aligned with the Paris Agreement.

Técnicas Reunidas would like to highlight its efforts to implement concrete and effective measures. In 2023, the company launched a strategic line of business, TRACK, specialized in offering key technology services for decarbonization in areas such as hydrogen and its derivatives, CO2 capture and sustainable fuels.  The creation of this specific area consolidates its commitment to this activity, strengthened by a team of highly qualified professionals.

Additionally, in 2023 Técnicas Reunidas made significant progress in its decarbonization plan, validating its objectives of reducing emissions by more than 40% by 2030 and aiming to achieve climate neutrality in 2040, in accordance with the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi). This leadership in environmental performance has been recognized by the Climate Disclosure Project (CDP), which has awarded Técnicas Reunidas the highest possible rating of “A”, thus highlighting its commitment and results in sustainability.

In order to support its clients in achieving their decarbonization goals, Técnicas Reunidas has increased its staff of experts in this area. This expansion reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and its ability to offer innovative and efficient solutions that contribute to a cleaner and safer future.
