TR leads the ShineFleet project, as a solution for hydrogen mobility of heavy vehicle fleets.

ShineFleet (Technological solutions based on hydrogen for the intelligent and sustainable mobility of heavy-duty autonomous fleets) is a project aimed at seeking technological solutions based on hydrogen for the intelligent and sustainable mobility of heavy-duty fleets over the next three years.

Técnicas Reunidas, in addition to coordinating the project, participates as a technologist in the hydrogen generation part, with the aim of developing a modular and compact system that allows the generation of renewable and blue hydrogen, providing, thanks to this combination, the best alternative generation on site.

Técnicas Reunidas will analyze different possibilities regarding raw materials – biogas, bioethanol and natural gas with CO2 capture – for the generation of hydrogen in the compact plant, so that it can be replicated in modules with the same configuration. The hybridization of various energy sources: reforming of different fuels and electrolysis, will guarantee a stable and efficient supply. The plant will include digitization tools to optimize its operation: reducing costs and minimizing emissions to the atmosphere.

With this project, TR reaffirms its commitment to the energy transition and is at the forefront in the sector of hydrogen production and management for more sustainable mobility.

The project falls within the mission “Sustainable and intelligent mobility” and is partially funded by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) within its “Missions” program, addressing all aspects of the hydrogen value chain in mobility .

Técnicas Reunidas, together with the rest of the consortium, made up of FM Logistic, Avia Ingeniería, Carbotainer, Cikautxo, Idneo and Fractalia, will be supported in very specific areas of research at the Institute of Chemical Technology (UPV-CSIC), Tecnalia, Complutense University of Madrid, Autonomous University of Madrid, the National Hydrogen Center and Eurecat.
