Engineering as a Driver of Sustainable Transition

On International Day Against Climate Change, 24 October, Técnicas Reunidas reaffirms its commitment to climate action by promoting solutions that support emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and industrial decarbonization. In line with this commitment, the Company joins the celebration of SDG 13 (Climate Action), contributing to progress toward a more sustainable future.

Climate change is one of the world’s greatest challenges. Therefore, transforming the energy and industrial model requires innovation, technical expertise, and solutions capable of combining efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability.

In 2025, Técnicas Reunidas allocated more than €8.5 million to Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I), driving technologies and initiatives at both national and international levels related to the circular economy, chemical processes, hydrogen, carbon dioxide capture, and the treatment and production of critical raw materials.

In addition, Técnicas Reunidas conducts internal and external audits of its Environmental Management System, certified in accordance with ISO 14001, during the engineering and construction phases. This system, implemented at the Company’s Madrid offices, Technology Center, and the Company’s projects, reinforces its commitment to the continuous improvement of environmental performance.

The ability to design and develop engineering solutions tailored to the industry’s challenges enables Técnicas Reunidas to contribute to the evolution of the energy sector and the development of more sustainable infrastructure. This commitment to climate action is also reflected in the responsible use of energy and resources in the Company’s daily operations.
