Expansion and upgrading of refining operations for improving overall efficiency

The revamping and expansion of the refinery will optimize the use of crude oil, by upgrading the bottom of the barrel and improving the energy intensity, meeting at the same time local and international environmental compliance requirements.

TR was part of the consortium awarded the modernization of the BAPCO refinery. The project has been designed in full compliance with Bahraini legislation and aligned with international guidance requirements, such as the World Bank’s Equator Principles and the IFC Environmental, Health, and Safety Guidelines for Petroleum Refining.

This turnkey contract for the modernization and expansion of the Sitra refinery improve the conversion of the bottom of the barrel´s and the energy efficiency of the refinery.

The contract scope includes engineering, supply, construction and commissioning of the main refining units.
